ACAC Women’s Basketball Final Four

The ACAC Women’s Basketball Final Four was hosted at Concordia University College of Alberta in Edmonton this past weekend. Check out the Concordia Thunder Athletics site for photos from the game. The SAIT Trojans ended up with the Gold medal, Lethbridge College Kodiaks the Silver and the Concordia Thunder with the Bronze. The King’s University College Eagles rounded out the Final Four.

Parkland School District: Millgrove School Protest

The Parkland School District is proposing new boundaries in Spruce Grove, specifically for Millgrove School. As a result, any current student would be required to attend a different school next year if the boundaries are voted through by the district, no grandfathering for existing students and siblings is considered in the current proposal.

Parents and students held a protest in Stony Plain at the Parkland School District office on February 24, 2010. Parents and students are protesting proposed boundary changes for Millgrove School in Spruce Grove which would require existing students to change schools.

Got my copy of FightSport magazine in the mail yesterday. They used one of my images in an interview with Cyrille “Snake” Diabaté who fought at Aggression MMA: First Blood last October. Incidentally, Diabaté just signed a four fight deal with UFC the other day.

Curtis “The Demon” Demarce website

Just wanted to let everyone know that the past few weeks I’ve been working with Canadian MMA fighter Curtis Demarce on his website. The new site is now live and contains info, photos and videos of his recent fights, and Curtis plans on blogging to keep everyone up to date on his MMA career!
